A Virginia House Bill (no. 567) was pre-filed on January 6, 2020, and then offered on January 8, 2020, is designed to shut down all gun ranges not owned by the state government. Two dead and one in critical condition after a gunman opened fire during morning service at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas. This past Tuesday Kansas Republican Rep. Roger Marshall introduced a bill entitled the “Home Defense and Competitive Shooting Act” to the U.S. House. The bill would remove short-barreled rifles (SBR) from regulation under the National Firearm Act (NFA) and treat them like all other rifles.
